BayVAN is now taking submissions for our 2012 Artist Registry. The registry is a pubic on-line database that will be viewed by corporate clients, collectors, gallery owners and curators. To meet the varied needs of our clients, the artist registry includes artists working in a wide range of styles and media including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture and installation art. Submitted work will be evaluated based on its quality and value within our existing registry. To view examples of current artist profiles visit the 2011 Artist Registry.
Submitting your work does not guarantee inclusion in the registry. Submissions will be reviewed after the deadline and artists will be informed of the jurors' decisions in January 2012.
To submit your portfolio to the BayVAN Artist Registry you must create a new account*. You will then be guided through the steps to create a profile. If at anytime you need to quit, your information will be saved and can be accessed again by logging in. By creating an account you are agreeing to the terms and conditions that govern this site. MATERIALS: Artist applicants must submit the following items:
- An Artist Statement (Up to 2000 Characters)
- A Bio (Up to 1500 Characters)
- A total of 10 digital images of successful past artwork with indications of medium, dimensions, title, date and price. Click here to review our instructions on how to make your images ready for web viewing.
You will receive a confirmation email immediately verifying that we received your application. By January 10, 2012 you will receive notification regarding acceptance into the artist registry. Accepted artists are part of the registry for one calendar year. Once accepted, registry artists can choose to renew their profiles on a yearly basis at a discounted rate. All of our contracts are non-exclusive. BayVAN does not consign most artwork within the registry, instead, we catalog accepted work and contact you regarding sales, leasing and exhibition opportunities as they arise.
*2011 Registry Artists can simply login and update last years entry.
